Child insurance

Why do you need child insurance? Most children are covered by accident insurance through their school or preschool, but it does not provide 24-hour coverage. The youngest children have no protection at all. At the same time, illness is the most common cause of serious injury. Therefore, as a parent, you need to make an active choice and apply for a good 24-hour insurance policy that covers both illness and accidents.

Our Child and youth insurance policy covers both illness and accidents and provides compensation for various events in life – big and small. For example, if a child is hospitalized for a few days or get injuries that last the rest of their lives.

Examples of how our insurance can help

  • SEK 500/day if a child is hospitalised
  • SEK 1,500 if a child breaks a leg or an arm
  • 10 percent of the insurance amount in the event of serious illnesses and accidents, for example cancer
  • Up to SEK 9,000/month if a parent receives compensation from Försäkringskassan (national insurance office) for care of a seriously ill child
  • Up to SEK 2,200,000 if a child is unable to work upon reaching adulthood
  • Up to SEK 6,600,000 in the event of permanent injury

You choose the insurance amount based on your needs and your wallet: SEK 600,000, SEK 1,300,000 or SEK 2,200,000. The insurance amount then determines how much compensation can be paid if the child suffers from a serious illness or has a serious accident.

You can apply for an insurance for children under the age of 18 and it can be maintained until they are 25 years old.
